My friend Richard is now going on a mission. He will be entering the Missionary Training Center on Saturday, June 9, 2012 and he will be serving 2 years of missionary work in Philippines Baguio Mission.
Me, yes I am also preparing. I already printed out a copy of my medical and dental form to start the process. I am just waiting for me to login to Online Missionary Recommendation. I still can't login I don't know why. I already asked my Bishop about it and I am just waiting for his response.
I am crossing my fingers as I wanted to finish all the requirements before he (Richard, soon to be Elder Orzal) enter the MTC.

I wanna start my blog again.
I think it is almost a year when the last time I updated my blog and I am really disappointed to myself.
Now, I will start all over again.
Location: Manila Philippines Temple
Speakers: Sis. Mary Jane Pomarejos, Bro. Dennis Pomarejos and President Revillo
We started the devotional by singing Hymn Number 266 The Time is Far Spent and an opening prayer of Bro. Niko Ruivivar.
Sis. Mary Jane Pomarejos was the first speaker and she advice us to wait for the right person to come and what are the qualities of a right man.
According to her the qualities of a right man are:
- A right man should honor his priesthood
- Honors womanhood
- He should be a full tight payer
- He should be taking you to the temple
Lastly, President Revillo. He said "Temple Marriage is not a suggestion it is a commandment from the Lord"
He also tackles how to prepare for a Full time mission. That if you are already on the right age you need to pray, fast and attend the institute for you to know the importance of going on a Mission,
He also told us about the life of a full time Missionary. He said a full time missionary should lock their heart, be obedient to the Mission President and should change their attitude.
After the mission, he said there are 2 types of Return Missionaries:
- True Return Missionary
- Return Monster
- GSIS - Galing Sa Ina ang Suporta
- Logging - Laging Istambay
- PAL - Palamunin
- PNB - Palamunin Ng Biyenan
- Single Adult
- Sobrang Adult
- Super Adult
For Brother return missionaries, they should know the signs that a sister will going to show them.
Always ask for the guidance of the Holy Ghost. Never expect a perfect husband or wife because marriage is a long time process of adjustment.
GO For Temple Marriage! Stick to the Gospel! Be Active!
Posted by Grace Labado-Orzal in Day By Day, News, Weather

Nakakalungkot, nakakapanglumo.
Magkaisa tayong lahat. At huwag mawalan ng pag-asa. Matuto tayong maglakad pasulong at huwag paatras.
Let us all pause and pray. Thank Our Heavenly Father that we are still alive and we still have our loved ones beside us. And for those who lost their loved ones, Condolence but a death doesn't mean everything should STOP. Just move forward and pray and be thankful.
Bakit ka unfair?
Paano nga ba masasabing unfair ang isang tao?
Unfair ka din ba?
Bakit kaya may mga taong unfair? Unfair talaga di ba?
Maraming papuring sinasabi sayo. Ha? what happen? Ano ba talaga ang basihan nila?
Paano nga ba siya nag come up ng ganung grade o score?
Masyado mo namang kinacareer yan. Naku! huwag kang ganyan. Baka pag bumagsak ka sobra kang masaktan! Isa pang pagkakamali at makakarating na yan sa nakatataas! Tsk.. Tsk.. Tsk..
May araw ka rin! Alam mo kung sino ka! Kung mabasa mo man to! Wala akong pakialam!

Survivor Philippines Palau: Tara, Marlon's Girl Version
Posted by Grace Labado-Orzal in Day By Day, News
Tara, an English Tutor is like Marlon from the first Survivor Philippines. Why did I say so?
Well, I just notice every moves that she's doing. With the make faces and the smile and also the pagtataray. Its some what annoying because when Justine was voted off to the first tribal council, she smiles a smile with lots of meaning.
I will be watching Tara, what are the next plan.
Survivor Philippines Palau just had its first tribal council.
Secrets have been revealed and as time goes by we are seeing the attitude of each castaways.
At the tribal council, it was revealed that Justine "the beauty queen" is a gay. I was shocked because I haven't notice that she's a gay. Aside from being a gay, Justine was the first castaway that was voted off.
Even if, she's a gay I can say that she really is so beautiful! She doesn't have any trace that she's a guy before.
Aside from the tribal council, I think there's a twist on Monday. Let us all watch and see what will happen.
Survivor Philippines! Go!
Immunity challenge begins. Airai wins the challenge again!
I can see that Airai has lots of strategies to work on with and their tribe is really strong. Because they won, they are given a chance to choose from the other tribe (Koror) whom to save for the tribal council. And they chose "Mommy Carol", which makes the Koror tribe became more disappointed.
Airai also chose to get the crane instead of giving it to the Koror tribe.
Go! Go! Airai!..
We've all watched the first day of the Survivor Philippines Palau. It is very exciting we are seeing those bossy and the other attitudes that the castaways have.
Now, the second day starts and the Airai tribe wins the challenge.
Congatulations to Airai! They won the Flint!
Let us all watch Survivor Philippines Palau!

Survivor Philippines Day 1 ends.....
Now we know who are the bossy type, the simple maniac, the intelligent and feeling intelligent. I can even compare the previous castaways to the new ones.
I know we are about to see more. I just can't wait to see those challenges.
Good Luck to all the castaways!...

Survivor Philippines Palau will be aired on Monday, August 17, 2009. Let us all watch who will be the next Survivor!..

Manila Bulletin and ABS-CBN: Pinatay si Pres. Gloria M. Arroyo
Posted by Grace Labado-Orzal in Day By Day, News
Nagulat ako sa nabasa ko kanina lang. Medyo huli na ko sa balita but I still decided to post it here. Napaka-interesting pa rin kasi di ba?
Pwede natin sabihin na its a typographical error pero nakakatawa pa rin ay.. nakakagulat pala.. hehe....
Here's the picture from the Manila Bulletin.
Napakaganda pa man din ng coverage ng ABS-CBN because they have the best shots tapos may ganyang factor?!...
Well, nobody is perfect nga naman. Tao lang.. Nagkakamali!
A few days ago, me and my co-employee are talking about Postpartum depression. Some of them already have their own family and few of them confessed that they experience postpartum depression.
Actually, that's not the reason why I wrote about postpartum depression. I was just amazed because I think the Holy Ghost is with me by the time I asked my co-employee about postpartum depression. Why did I say so? Because last Sunday, I got my monthly issue of Liahona (The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints' Magazine) and one of the topic that was written on the Church Magazine is about postpartum depression.
What is Postpartum Depression?
Postpartum Depression or the so called Postnatal depression is a form of depression that usually affect the mother who just gave birth. According to some studies, postpartum depression is an illness. Researchers believe that it happens during pregnancy and it is because of the hormonal changes that the mother experience during pregnancy that leads to depression.
Research shows that 0ne (1) out of ten (10) mothers experience postpartum depression. It occurs within four weeks after giving birth but sometimes it occurs after several months. Some mother can easily control themselves after a few weeks but others cannot.
Baby blues and Postpartum Depression
Baby blues is different from postpartum depression. As what I have said, Postpartum depression is an illness while baby blues is just a temporary sadness. It also appear after giving birth but can only last for ten (10) days.
Mothers who experience baby blues have the following symptoms:
- tearfulness
- irritability
- fatigue
- anxiety
- emotional sensitivity
What are the symptoms of Postpartum depression?
Dr. Cheryl T. Beck a nurse researcher said that postpatum depression is a thief. It steals the motherhood of a woman. She listed the symptoms of postpartum depression and it includes the following:
- A depressed mood
- Absence of laughter
- Blank facial expression
- Sadness
- Inadequacy
- Indecisiveness about ordinary matters
- Irritation
- Struggling for perfection
- Feeling of sense of failure
- Difficulty in sleeping
- Experiencing shattered expectations
- Plunging into despair
- Difficulty in focusing
- Feeling lonely
- Difficulty in sleeping
- Lack of appetite
- Struggling to survive
- Feeling of losing her mind
Family of the woman who are struggling to postpartum depression should be aware of what;s happening and they should help the mother and also the child. Because the mood of the mother affects the mood of the newly born child. And it can also affect the whole family. It is very important that the mother is seeing support from her family.
It is very important that the husband help and support his wife in daily activities such as:
- Taking over household chores and taking good care of their children
- Helping the mother to get enough sleep, appropriate nutrition, and exercise.
- Assisting the baby
- Listening, caring and just being with her can also help the mother
- Husband must be aware that his wife is experiencing depression.
We are hearing lots of bad news about postpartum depression and recently a news outside our country about a woman who ate the brain of her newly born child. It is really sad that this things happen specially to the newly born baby.
Now, that we all know what to do and what are the things that we should know and consider once a woman is experiencing postpartum depression. We can be a big help to those families or to those mothers who are experiencing the said depression.
Happy birthday to our beloved President.
This coming August 21, 2009, President Monson will celebrate his 81st birthday.
We wish you good health and a happy life.
We love you Pres. Monson.....
