Total Eclipse of the Sun on July 22, 2009

Posted by Grace Labado-Orzal in ,

The total solar eclipse will be visible within a narrow corridor that traverses half of the earth. The shadow of the moon begins in India crosses through Nepal, then Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and China. After that, it will cross Ryukyu Islands then southeast through Pacific Ocean in which the totality will reach 6 minutes and 39 seconds. Most of the Eastern Asia, Indonesia and Pacific Ocean will see a partial path of the penumbral shadow of the Moon.

According to NASA, the total eclipse of the sun that will happen tomorrow will be the longest and greatest total solar eclipse.

I really love to see the total eclipse of the sun but sadly I am at work tomorrow morning. :(
